Mending a Broken Heart
How can you mend a broken heart? Why does just thinking about the subject of lost relationships bring up a song lyric?
There must be thousands of songs about losing love and the end of relationships.
You know that a broken heart from a break up or divorce is hard to heal.
Carrying all those thoughts and feelings from your former relationship not only hurts now but can also hurt you in the future as you push past your broken heart to create new relationships. Usually we call it "baggage" those uncommunicated thoughts and feelings, those jagged pieces of our heart that are left over when a relationship ends.
The uncommunicated thoughts and feelings from our broken relationship; the dreams of a future together that has been severed by a divorce or break up live inside us whether you ended the relationship or your partner ended the relatiionship or even if the split was mutual.
Your friends and family say: "You're so wonderful, you'll find someone else." "He wasn't good enough for you." Even though those statements may be true, they don't make you feel any better.
If you are ready to put your broken heart and the relationship that caused it to rest, the Grief Recovery program can help. Step by step, you will learn how to release the unspoken thoughts and feelings that are holding you back.
